Dounia Alameddine, born in Tripoli, North Lebanon, completed her undergraduate studies in Architectural Civil Engineering at Charles IV National University in Prague, where she also earned her Master’s degree in 1985.
Together with her husband Eng. Radwan Alameddine, they established DEC in Lebanon and then the UAE, where they offer design engineering and construction supervision consultancy services. Over the years, she has delivered distinguished architectural designs and supervised major construction projects for private and public developers, as well as for the private offices of ruling family members in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Dounia is a member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, the Order of Engineers and Architects in Lebanon, and the Society of Engineers in the UAE. She serves as a technical advisor and board member of the Arab Business Women Council, is a founding member of the Abu Dhabi Business Women Council, and is a member of the Lebanese Business Council.
Having spent more than 35 years in the UAE, Dounia is passionate about culture and is a member of the Sea of Culture Institution. She is the proud mother of four highly accomplished children; Baha, Dana,Sara and Taha.
